The Attitude of Great Skateboarders

September 9, 2013

Let’s face it, if you don’t have the right mindset for skateboarding, it’s going to be tough being a skateboarder. It’s going to be a constant struggle trying to learn new tricks and it’s going to take an enormous amount of confidence for you to even think about landing certain tricks.

Having the right attitude is key for skateboarding success. This will give you the ability to land tricks quicker & easier, your style will improve, your confidence will increase, and you will also be able to land tricks more consistently than ever before.

Anything Is Possible

You have the potential to be a great skateboarder.

To tap into that potential, you have to believe that you can do anything you set your mind to.

“Whether you think you can or can’t, you’re right.”

You can choose to believe that you’re no good at skateboarding, or you can believe that you were born to skate, and that you are on your way to becoming a great skateboarder.

Whichever you decide to believe will become your reality.

There Is No Competition

Trying to be someone else all the time limits what you can do as a person.

“From this point, your strategy is to make everyone else get on your level; you’re not going down to theirs. You’re not competing with anyone else, ever again. They’re going to have to compete with you. From now on, the end result is all that matters.” – Tim S. Grover

If you accept your uniqueness and express your creativity through your talents and abilities, there’s no competition and no comparison.

Being yourself is the greatest asset you have as an individual. There is no one in the world out there exactly like you. Use that to your advantage.

Accept your uniqueness, be creative and express your individuality.

Skateboarding Is Fun

For the love of skateboarding, have fun.

Getting into a state of curiosity and playfulness is the best way for learning new skateboard tricks.

By having fun and enjoying the moment you tap into a creative state of flow, where you can amaze yourself, and your friends, with all the new and amazing tricks you begin to learn.

If you’re not having fun, then you’re not doing it right.

Skateboarding was meant to be fun.
